Mark Dean Veca (featured in Hi-Fructose Vol. 23) recently opened a solo show at New York’s Cristin Tierney Gallery titled “Made for You and Me.” Named after the famous Woodie Guthrie song “This Land is Your Land,” Veca’s latest body of work appropriates familiar corporate logos ubiquitous in American culture to create a discourse about consumer society and what Veca considers the collapse of the American dream.
