Opening Night: Jason Botkin’s “ALL KIN” at LNDMRK

On January 29, LNDMRK in Montreal opened a solo show by Jason Botkin titled “ALL Kin.” Departing from Botkin’s usual monochromatic color palette, the works in the show are saturated with color. Botkin created these large-scale characters from canvas, ply-wood and paper directly within the gallery — his creative process is inseparable from the exhibition space in this new body of work. The figures are mediations on lessons Botkin learned from his street art experiences and on-going mural project, En Masse.
