Opening Night: “I’ll Love You til the End of the World” at Roq la Rue

Last Friday, Seattle’s Roq la Rue Gallery opened a group show centered around a positive theme — a new rebirth after the predicted apocalypse of December 2012 that never happened. Rather than focusing on the death and destruction associated with the end of the world, the artists took the opportunity to look towards a new era, a new chapter for the Earth. Exhibiting artists (many of which have been featured in print) included Camille Rose Garcia (HF Vol. 8), Chris Berens (HF Vol. 9), John Brophy, Martin Wittfooth (Vol. 19 cover artist), Nicola Verlato (HF Vol. 11), Jean-Pierre Roy (HF Vol. 18), Sarah Dolby (Vol. 26), Eric Fortune (HF Vol. 13), Jane Kenoyer, Sail, Laurie Lee Brom, Scott Musgrove (HF Vol. 24), John Brosio, Travis Louie (HF Vol. 5), and Marco Mazzoni (HF Vol. 20 cover artist). Take a look at our opening night photos by Jane Kenoyer after the jump.
