New Lush Utopian Paintings by Apak

Aaron and Ayumi Piland, the artistic husband and wife team, who refer to themselves as Apak, were featured in Hi-Fructose Collected Volume 2. They have recently created some new rich and colorful work in their home and studio in a little cottage on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon. Their gouache and acrylic paintings on wood feature unusually fantastic adventures of curious little beings living in lush utopian environments. The work that the two artists create together represent harmony with nature, simple living, and life’s mysteries as well as expressing their love for each other and the world around them.
