Los Angeles muralist and painter Mark Dean Veca (interviewed in Hi-Fructose Vol. 23) recently traveled to the Bay Area to complete his site-specific installation, “Son of Phantasmagoria,” at the San Jose Museum of Art. Part of the artist’s solo exhibition, “Raging Opulence: Mark Dean Veca,” the installation will accompany documentary photographs of past installations and a biographical film on the artist by Gavin Lewis Heslet for his series, The Creative Lives.
