Alberto Mielgo’s Poetically Erotic Paintings

Spanish artist Alberto Mielgo (who we interviewed on the blog in 2010) focuses on intimacy in his paintings, creating works that poetically articulate private moments of love and eroticism. Despite his background in animation and digital media, Mielgo’s paintings have a loose, expressive feel more reminiscent of Impressionism than computer graphics. The artist recently relocated to Los Angeles to pursue personal and commercial work and has a solo show of new works at GR Space in Los Angeles on November 5.
